Baguio City, Philippines — As the vibrant blooms and colorful floats of the Panagbenga Festival filled the streets of the city, DigiPlus Foundation, the  social development arm of DigiPlus Interactive Corp., transformed the celebration into a moment of lasting community impact—unveiling a ₱2 million social investment package aimed at strengthening healthcare access, education, and indigenous livelihoods across the city.

The initiative was formally announced last March 1 during the BingoPlus Panagbenga Celebration Day at the Melvin Jones Grandstand in Burnham Park. The event successfully merged festive celebration with meaningful community engagement, further solidifying the commitment of DigiPlus, DigiPlus Foundation, and its flagship digital entertainment brand, BingoPlus, to inclusive and sustainable development.

The support from DigiPlus Foundation is expected to benefit over 1,000 residents, demonstrating how corporate innovation and cultural celebration can come together to uplift communities. Through targeted partnerships with government and community organizations, the initiative delivers tangible support across key sectors that shape everyday life in Baguio.

DigiPlus Foundation representatives presented a ₱2 million social investment during Panagbenga Festival activities in Baguio City, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to expanding access to healthcare, education, and cultural livelihood opportunities in the region.

“Panagbenga celebrates the beauty and resilience of Filipino culture,” said the Executive Director Angela Camins Wieneke  of DigiPlus Foundation. “For us, it is also an opportunity to invest in the people who keep these communities thriving. By supporting healthcare, education, and indigenous livelihoods, we are helping ensure that progress reaches every corner of society.”

Part of the initiative will support a healthcare program focused on vision care for senior citizens, providing optical assistance through a medical mission organized in partnership with the National Commission of Senior Citizens – Cordillera Administrative Region (NCSC-CAR) and the Office for Senior Citizens’ Affairs (OSCA) of Baguio City.

DigiPlus Foundation will also provide educational assistance to selected students in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to help ensure continued access to learning opportunities for young beneficiaries in the city.

Recognizing the importance of cultural preservation and inclusive growth, the foundation also partnered with Advocating Traditions for Onward Resilience (ATOR) of Indigenous Peoples. The collaboration aims to support indigenous livelihood initiatives while safeguarding the rich traditions and heritage of the Cordillera region.

The ceremonial turnover brought together representatives from DigiPlus Foundation, partner agencies, and beneficiary groups—highlighting the power of collaboration in driving meaningful social progress.

WishPlus and Special Events Lead of DigiPlus Foundation, Rhod Jessie Barrera, said “This initiative reflects our belief that meaningful impact happens when the private sector, government agencies, and communities work together. “ He added ““Panagbenga provides the perfect platform to celebrate culture while advancing inclusive development.”

Beyond the community support, the event also marked the public launch of DigiPlus Foundation’s refreshed identity, signaling a new chapter in its mission to expand social impact nationwide. Formerly known as BingoPlus Foundation, the organization has already reached more than one million Filipinos through programs focused on education, healthcare, inclusive empowerment, livelihood development, and disaster resilience.

Panagbenga festivalgoers submit their wishes at the BingoPlus booth for the DigiPlus Foundation WishPlus initiative.

Festivalgoers also engaged with the Foundation through its WishPlus initiative, where visitors shared their aspirations for themselves and their communities while learning more about DigiPlus Foundation’s programs.

By weaving social investment into one of the Philippines’ most iconic festivals, DigiPlus Foundation demonstrates how responsible corporate citizenship can grow alongside business innovation—turning celebration into lasting opportunities for Filipino communities.
